In order to improve the vertical resolution of the transient electromagnetic method(TEM),we make a study of the interpretation system of TEM tomography.The law of propagation of electromagnetic wave and seismic wave in media and the response of TEM far-field are analyzed.According to the similarity between the propagation of magnetic dipole source TEM field and reflected-seismic wave,it is proposed to explain TEM data with the pseudo-seismic interpretation.The forward and inversion calculation results of theoretical model examples indicate that the theory is right.The processing results of field data demonstrate that this method is useful and practical.
