We have derived the expressions for the total standard error of dpm values obtained in liquid scintillation counting after quench correction.     In the present work a "returning phenomenon" in once measured channel-ratio (i. e. channel-ratio not subtracting the background) has been shown. These experiments include sample channels-ratio method for ~3H or ~(14)C singly labeled samples, ~3H +~(14)C doubly labelled samples and ~3H samples into which a background source, ~(113m)In, was incorporated, and external standard channels-ratio method for ~(14)C samples. It was observed that the magnitude of returning channel ratio value depends on the sample radioactivity, the background level and the choice of counting channels. In the case of two channels limited by three discriminators, as the values of channel ratio fall into a constant, it means that the curve of the channel ratio minus background reaches an applicable limited degree of quenching. This limited quenching makes the pulse height value caused by the β-particles with maximum energy equal to the value of the medial discriminator. The degree of quenching corresponding to the returning points of once measured channel-ratio curves is lower than the above mentioned degree of quenching. The returning point of channel-ratio may be considered as the application limit of once measured channel ratio curves.Using the mathematical model of linear function containing relative quenching factor, the channel-ratio quenching correction curves have been calculated. The results of channel-ratio returning have been obtained. The results of calculation agree with the experimental results.

    本文指出了一次测量道比(即不减本底道比)的“折回现象”。折回道比值依赖于样品的放射性强度、本底水平和测量道的选择。在由三个甄别器限定的两道中,减本底道比曲线理论上可用的极限淬灭程度,使最大能量β粒子产生的脉冲高度等于中甄别阈值。而一次测量道比的折回点所对应的淬灭程度较此为小。道比折回点是一次测量道比曲线理论可用范围的极限。本文还借助含有相对淬灭因子g的线性函数微分谱数学模型,算得一次测量道比曲线的折回现象,其规律与实验结果符合。
