The result showed that the supernatant of antagonistic bacterium was of significant suppressive effect on conidium germination and appressorium formation, the suppressive rate of conidium germination reached 97%. The significant inhibitive effect of antagonistic bacterium (Bacillus pumillus) on conidium germination of P.grisea indicated that antagonistic bacterium is of potential application prospect.

All of the above indicate that the sulphurous acid method for sugar refinement, used as the major technological process in China, has been greatly improved as a result of the successful development of sucrose compound enzyme.
