Effects of the multi-reflection was discussed in terms of elongation of optical pathways and curveture in the calibration curve obtained by the LCC. Theoretical equations of absorbance for LCC to the Lambert-Beer's law was gived. Absorbance using theoretical equations is calculated by micro-computer.

Both Causes mentioned above. The clinical values of the sign are described as follows: ( 1 ) The gallbladder comet tail sign appeared intramurally suggests chronic cholecystitis, gallbladder gland muscle hyperplasia, dilatation of Rokitansky-Aschoff sinus, gall embolism or stone in the sinus. ( 2 ) The comet tail sign attached to the gallbladder wall suggests existence of cholesterol polypus. ( 3 ) Free comet tail sign suggests existence of small granular substance. ( 4 ) The detection percentage of comet tail sign is closely related to performance of the instrument.
