Based upon the results of collective reseach work of our Institute this paper summarizes the interrelationship between the parameters which characterize the resistance against failure by fracture under different service conditions of commonly used steels and irons and their strength, ductility or toughness. The major conclusion reached is that a suitable balance between strength and ductility or tonghness may bring about a maximum value of these parameters under prescribed service conditions. This optimum balance demanded by these parameters shifts to another along certain definite direction when the service condition changes. The rules governing these changes indicate one of the ways for fully developing the strength potentialities of these materials in order to achieve the purpose of improvement in load carrying capacity and service life without impairing safety.

本文根据我所集体研究成果初步总结了常用的钢铁材料在各种服役条件下断裂失效的表征参量与强度、塑性、韧度的关系。主要结论为在一定服役条件下强度与塑性、韧度的适当配合可以得到这些参量的最佳值,而这个最佳值所要求的强度、塑性、韧度的配合随服役条件的改变而向一定的方向改变,这些变异的规律指出了一个在保证安全的条件下充分发挥材料强度潜力以达到提高材料的承载能力和延长使用寿命的途径。

Steam power plant heat-resisting steels invented in China during past 25 years are described, especially those for superheaters, reheaters, heavy-duty turbine bolts and wheels. The experimental results of steam pipes which has been in operation over 100,000 hours are also reported. Finally, the author proposed the direction and task for further development of such kind of steels.

回顾了25年以来,我国电站用耐热钢的进展,着重介绍了自行研制的锅炉用过热器、再热器用钢以及汽轮机用大螺栓钢和叶轮钢。还介绍了超期服役主蒸汽管道剩余寿命试验结果。作者提出了今后研制耐热钢的方向和任务。
