But for speech and music having impulsivecharacteristics, only the direct sound and the early reflections are effective to the perceivedloudness to the listener according to the integrating ability of the ear. Therefore, a series ofsubjective comparison tests are carried out in an anechoic room, using recorded speech astesting material, and thus conducted to investigate the contribution of short delayed echoes(early reflections) to the loudness evalution. Sound fields consisting of primary sound anddelayed echoes, single or multiple, are produced by electroacoustic means. Results showthat the perceived loudness of the sound field is a function of the echo energy, angle of echoincidence and its temporal distribution. The law of the addition of energy to the echoes witha short delay is not applicable to multiple echoes as well as to a single echo after an intervalexceeding 30-50ms. In certain cases, they are much less than that can be expectedaccording to the said law.

大厅内产场强度的分布,对于稳态声源来说取决于各处的直达声和来自所有界面的反射声.但是对于语言和音乐等脉冲性质的声源,由于人耳的积分效应,只有直达声和早期反射声才对听众席上所感受到的响度起主要作用,因此作为音质评价参量,要考虑到声场的有效强度.于是在消声室内利用“干”语言录音进行一系列主观试听实验,以求了解短延时回声(早期反射声)对响度评价的作用.实验中由电声装置产生出含有原始声和单个或多个延时回声的声场.实验结果表明声场的感受响度与回声能量、入射角及其延迟时间分布有关.对多个短延时回声和超过30-50ms的单个回声来说,能量相加规律并不适用.在有些情况下实际感受的响度比能量相加规律要小得多.

But little had been done on this criterion inthe past owing to the lack of appropriate measure to describe and quantify such a criterion, therefore it ishard to predict the overall strength in a hall during the design stage, and also cannot check it when the hall iscompleted. He found that the impression of the strength is notproduced only by the direct Sound,nor by the early 'useful' sound, but all of the reflechons arriving at the listeneds position. But our experience, also from other authors, shows the direct sound and early reflections playing the main role in determination of loudness impression due to the 'licit of Perceptibility' or 'the inertia of hearing'. Therefore it is more reasonable to set an integrating time of the useful reflections for determining the strength index, say 50ms for speech and 80ms for music. The strength index G hence should be written as G50 for speech and G 80 for music.

厅堂音质评价的各项指标中,响度是最重要和最基本的内容之一。但由于长期来缺乏合适的参量,因此迄今无法在完工后的厅堂中去测量这项指标,当然也难以在设计阶段对此参量进行估算.不少人常把仅仅适用于稳态声源和混响场的声场估算法(即以直达声加上混响声)作为厅堂内各处总声强的评价,无论从音质设计和现场测量来看,显然很不合适。近年Lehmann提出以声强指数G(Starkemass)(dB)作为评价参量是一个好的建议。但根据我们的研究结果来看,鉴于早期反射声对响度起主导作用,因此厅堂内各处的声强指数应取50ms(语言)和80ms(音乐)的早期反射声积分值更符合实际,。以代替t从0积分到∞的评价方法。因此G(50ms)和G(80ms)将分别用于评价厅堂内对语言和音乐的响度评价参量。

In commenting the norms of acoustic fidelity of the great halls, sonority is one of the most essential parameters. However, at the present time, the problem of commenting sonority of great halls hasn' t been properlysolved. Mr. Wu Shuoxian, one of the authors of this article, has suggested using the average sound pressuregrade LPF as the norm of commenting sonority of great hall, and this has been thought of highly by the world acoustic circles. The article shall further prove the feasibility of using LPF as sonority commenting norm and putforward the calculating method of LPF norm in great hall. It shall also further probe into the optimizing sonorityboundaries through actual test and by collecting opinions from the masses and experts who listened to the musicalsound. Thus, putting forward suggestions for proper--scaled orchestra with different hall volume, so as to assurethe proper sonority of the great hall during performance.

在厅堂音质评价的各项指标中,响度是最重要的参量之一。然而目前厅堂响度评价问题一直未获妥善解决。本文第二作者曾建议采用乐队齐奏强音标志乐段的平均声压级LpF作为评价厅堂响度的指标,得到国际声学界的重视。本文将进一步论证LpF作为响度评价指标的可行性,提出厅堂中LpF指标的计算方法。本文还将通过实测、听众主观听音调查和汇总专家意见,进一步探求LpF的优选值域,从而对不同容积的厅堂提出关于合适的乐队规模的建议,以保证厅堂在演出过程中具有合适的响度。
