A friction element with a rigid scrface is constricted, and a finite element model of a friction-drive vertical roll in universal roiling is established. In the model, a layer of friction elements is placed between the flange of the stock and the vertical roll. By rigidizing the friction element surface that adheres to the vertical roll, a rigid vertical roll is virtually simulated, so that the vertical roll velocity is incorporated into the variables to be solved by finite element equations. It overcomes the solution difficulties brought about by the unknown vertical roll velocity. The model is able to directly obtain the velocity of the vertical roll, instead of assuming it a priori and calculating it iteratively. Numerical examples show that the model meets the requirement of zero torque and rigidity for vertical roll.

采用带刚性表面的摩擦单元,建立了万能轧制过程立辊摩擦拖动的有限元模型。该模型在轧件翼板和立辊之间设置了一层动态接触的摩擦单元,通过使摩擦元与立辊的接触面刚性化,来模拟刚性立辊,并将立辊的未知线速度包含在有限元求解变量中。这种方法克服了立辊线速度未知带来的求解困难,能够直接求得立辊线速度,而不必事先假设和迭代求解。算例表明,该模型满足立辗转矩为零和刚性化的要求。

H-Beam rolling processes with different vertical roll cone angles have been simulated by using three-dimensional elastoplastic finite element method. The flange deformation behaviors and rolling loads under different vertical roll cone angle are obtained and analyzed. H-Beam rolling experiments were carried out at the Three-stand Universal H-Beam Mill to validate the computational results.

针对不同立辊锥角的H型钢万能轧制过程 ,采用三维弹塑性有限元法进行了模拟 ,分析了不同锥角情况下翼缘的变形特点和水平辊轧制力的变化。在H型钢三机架可逆连轧机组上进行了实验研究 ,从试件轧制前后的横断面网格上可以得到金属流动的详细信息。实验与计算结果吻合较好。
