Based on the meteorological data during 1961-1994 observed at Minqin Desert Control Experimental Station, Statistical analysis on the amount, days, seasonal distribution, intensity, variability and assurance of precipitation in Shajinqzi region was conducted. Futhermore, by means of precipitation variability and moisture index( MI ), the drought period in this region was determined with Maximum Entropy Method (MEM).
