This paper is concerned in the study of the relationship among protein content, amino acid contents, two plant physiological characters and agronomic characters in 35 wheat varieties. The 18 characters studied were grouped into grain protein content, phy physiological-factor characters, yield-component characters and various grain amino acid contents. Some experimental results were obtained as follows: the multiple correlation of grain protein content with yield-component characters was higher than that with phy(?)iological-factor characters, and that with morpho-factor characters, but lower than that with various grain amino acid contents. The canonical correlation of yield-component characters with qualitative characters (grain protein and various amino acid contents) was not significant. The canonical correlation of physiological-factor characters with qualitative characters was significant, and highar than that with yield-component characters. This showed that physiological-factor characters were important in qualitative improvement. The canonical variable analysis indicated that whatever between two character groups, the important effect was nitrate reductase activity, main spike grain weight, flag leaf length, grain leucine and phenylalanine contents in correlative association. The results of simple correlation analysis showed that nitrate reductase activity was highly positively and significantly correlated with grain protein content (r=+0.5349). The implication of these results in wheat genetics and breeding was also discussed.

本文将所研究的35个品种18个性状归纳成籽粒蛋白质含量、生理性状、产量性状、形态性状扣各和氨基酸含量5组。试驻结果:籽粒蛋白质含量与产量性状的多元相关高于与生理性状的相关、又高于与形态性状的相关,但低于与各种氨基酸的相关产量性状与品质性状(籽粒蛋白质含量-各种氨基酸含量)的典型相关不显著,生理性状与品质性状有显著的典型相关,表明生理性状在品质改进中的重要性。典型变量分析结果指出无论是哪两个性状组间,在关联性上起作用的主要有:硝酸还原酶活性、主穗粒重、剑叶长,籽粒中的亮氨酸和苯丙氨酸含量。
