Structures of hot-rolled silicon sheet after rolling affect the decarhurization and recrystalization process. Proper control of heating temperature and finish rolling temperature and adoption of rapid cooling after rolling will make the carbide distribution and shape favourable for decarburization. The resulted structures are able to let the recrystalized grains grow. As a result, remarkable redustion of iron loss can be gained. Under the conditions of same raw material and annealing processes, the average core loss p15/50 reduced 0.3w/kg. The better result would be realized by combined annealing with hydrogen. By adopting this new process, shanghai silicon sheet works has developed a new brand,D25-D28 with properties better than that of all existing brands throughout the world (magnetic induction value B50 greater than 1.63T, theiron loss of D25, P15/50 less than 4.20w/kg, D28, P15/50 less than 3.10w/kg, showing that the new brand silicon sheets have same properties of high-property brand S12 in JIS standard for coldrolled non-oriented silicon steel sheets. Furthermore, the production cost was also lowered. Shanghai silicon sheet works started to use this new process in may 1981 for production of hot-rolled motor silicon sheets. Up to the end of 1988, the works has increased benefits of more than 12 million RMB. The new process was acknoledged as a process invention which was approved as a patent by China patent bureau and honoured with a third prize of the state invetion.

热轧硅钢片的轧后组织影响退火时的脱碳和再结晶过程,控制适当的加热温度和终轧温度,终轧后采用急冷处理,可使碳的分布和形态有利于脱碳,得到的组织能促使再结晶晶粒长大,从而显著降低铁损。采用该新工艺生产热轧电机硅钢片,可在同样原料和相同退火工艺的条件下,使铁损P_(15/50)平均降低3w/kg。再结合通氢退火,可获得更好的效果。上海矽钢片厂采用该新工艺生产出了性能优于现有各国热轧硅钢片标准的新牌号D25—D28(磁感值B50≥1.63T;D25铁损P_(15/50)≤4.20w/kg,D28铁损P_(15/50)≤3.10w/kg已达JIS冷轧无取向硅钢片高牌号S12的水平),生产成本也较低。上海矽钢片厂于1981年5月开始正式应用该工艺生产热轧电机硅钢片,至1988年底已获增加效益1200多万元。该新工艺属于方法发明,于1987年8月由中国专利局授予专利权,并荣获国家发明三等奖。
