This paper gives a systematic discussion on the formulae of modulate transfer functions (MTF) of infrared system (including the detector array), noise equivalent temperature difference (NETD) and minimum resolvable temperature difference (MRTD) for airborne thermal imaging system. As an example, the MTF, NETD and MRTD of a multispectral scanner are calculated. They are compared with the experimental results and proved themselves closely consistent.

When the magnet was quenched by heatinga part of the magnet current is transferred into the secondary-short-circuit. The greater the initial current of magnet, the grealer is the transfer rate. We have also observered that the secondary winding apparently decreases the end voltage of magnet when the power supply is cut off.
