The results showed that the high speed performance and safety factor improved by using 1×3×0.28HT steel cord in the belt of PCR tire instead of 1×4×0.25 steel cord without any adverse effect on other properties,in addition,the weight and cost of tire could be reduced.

The stress strain properties of 205/70R15 radial passenger car tire produced by Michelin were analysed with the three dimensional non linear FEA by using MARC software. The results of static deflection were given.
For providing the heat build up characteristics of tire materials to calculating the temperature field of tire, the heat build up of various materials in 165R15 radial passenger car tire under different running conditions was determined assuming that the strain variate sinusoidally in a period, the viscoelasticity of materials be linear, the heat build up of rubber be isotropic, and the strain component of rubber/cord composite perpendicular to the calender direction be negligible.
