The Oujiachong Member of the Xikuangshan Group, which consists of conti-nental sediments intercalating with marine beds, is overlain by the Tournaician Sh-aodong Group and underlain by Famennian Magunao limestone bed of the Xikuang-shan Group. The writer has obtained a lot of ostracoda fossils from the Oujiachon Member of the Xikuangshan Group in the Shaodong region of central Hunan andg carried out a detailed study on them. The ostracods of the Oujiachong Member include 6 genus; 7 species and 3 sp. indet.(6 new species). Among them, the Cavellina is very abundant and the size of the shell of Baschkirina opima is small. They lived in the lagoon of fresh water. The collection described in the pre-sent paper includes the following species: Cavellina sublatiovata sp. nov., C. sticta sp. nov., C. postcosta sp. nov., Baschkirina opima sp. nov., B. brevis sp. nov., Kloedenia pulchra sp. nov. The species of Cavellina subla-tiovata, C. sticta, C. postcosta may correspond to Cavellina latiovata of Xie-jingsi Group of the upper Devonian from the western Hubei Province, Most of the ostracods belong to Devonian and a few of them belong to the Shaodong Group of Tournaician. The writer suggests that the Ostracods of the Oujiachong Member indicate an age of late Famennian of late Devonian.
