Fatigue life prediction subject to random loads has always been one of the interesting questions in engineering. The stress history is almost unknown in enough detail to perform the cycle counting and damage accumulation, especially at the design stage. Based on the classicaal fatigue design philosophy and the probabilistic analysis technique, we now give a fatigue life prediction method under random loads accounting for the effects of the mean stresses and the scatter factor of fatigue life. The results of this paper may be useful for structural reliability model of total fatigue life.

A numerical method is presented for study the creation,sustain,and decay processes of laser generated shock wave in the solid target on the basis of one dimensional hydrodynamic model during solid target irradiated by high power pulsed laser beams.By means of accumulating and dynamic damage criterions,the spallation in the aluminum target is calculated.The results in this paper are the same as the dependent numerical simulations and experiments.
