The process, technological parameters and equipments for producing W-Cu contact with isostatic pressure-sinter infiltration in copper bath were described. According to the requirment of the contact the main physical and mechanical properties and the resistance to arc-erosion were tested. The results show that the W-Cu contact produced possesses high density, excellent physical and mechanical properties and arc-erosion resistance.

When the precipitation rate of floating crystals V was greater than the growth rate of the bottom solidification front, equiaxed crystals with a comparatively uniform size and shape would be formed. When the growth direction of solidification interface was the same as that of the floating crystal movement, captured flcating crystals would be formed into equiaxed crystals with a uniform size and shape, if the difference between the interfacial rate Rand the rate V of the floating crystal movement perpendicular to the interfacial direction was much greater than the critical rate V_(temporary) of the captured interfacial floating crystals, i. e., R-V》V_(tem.); the captured floating crystals would be formed into elongated equiaxed crystals, if R-V slightly greater than V_(tem.,) the captured floating crystals would be formed into column crystals, if R-V was less than V(tem.). The formation of chill floating equiaxed crystal zone can also be illustrated by the capture of floating crystals.
