    In this paper, equipment, refining technology and the effect of vacuum degassing of the 100t ASEA-SKF ladle furnace as well as the quality of forgings have been presented briefly. The benefits of the technology have also been demonstrated being the increase of reduction of area, elongation, impact toughness, the improvement of macro structure and the decrease of defects revealed by NDT as well. A lot of grades of steel in high quality can be made with this refining furnace. It is still necessary for the refining technology to develop and perfect a step further.

    本文简介100tASEA—SKF钢包精炼炉的设备装置、精炼工艺、真空脱气的效果及锻件的质量.在正常操作条件下,经真空脱气的钢水中氢的含量可达2ppm,氧含量可达30ppm.钢水的脱氢率可达60~80%,脱硫率可达50%左右.锻件中的氧化物与硫化物的高倍显微评级较低,电解的稳定夹杂物评级也较低.锻件钢的冲击值,断面收缩率和延伸率有较明显地升高,低倍评级有所改善,超声波探伤缺陷有所减少.此种钢包精炼炉冶炼的钢种较为广泛,钢的纯净度较高,质量较好,但其设备装置比较复杂,尚需对精炼的技术工艺进行进一步的研究和完善.

    A cylindrical water model of bath with various ratios of depth to radius was employed. Through a porous plug located at the bottom centre of the model oxygen was injected into the water bath. The photos of flow patterns in the bath were taken by using the technique of aluminium powder visualization and the velocity distributions were measured by a Laser-Doppler elocimeter. The photos of flow patterns in the bath were taken by using the technique of aluminium powder visualization and the velocity distributions were measured by a Laser-Doppler elocimeter. Based on obtained data the circulating flow rate and circulating cycle were calculated. It has been found that the range of optimum ratio of the depth to the radius of the bath stirred by central gas plume is from 0.6 to 0.8. The ratios from 0.4 to 0.6 and from 0.8 to 1.2 are not optimum, but acceptable. If the ratio is greater than 1.2 or smaller than 0.4, the mixing processes in the bath are wors ened. According to this result several kinds of baths in metallurgy are discussed. For the open hearth farnace the ratio of depth to the half width is smaller than the reasonable value, so that intensifying the vertical agitation is less important than intensifying the horizontal agitation. For the gasstirred ladle this ratio is much larger, so it may be proper to decrease the depth-to-radius ratio. or the converters, most of them have the reasonable ratio; but for the multiple bottom blown converters situations are more complicated. The principle of determining the rational distance between two nozzles is recommended.

    用铝粉示踪流动显示方法和激光—多普勒测速仪对冶金熔池模型内的流谱、速度分布、循环流量及循环周期进行了研究。对不同的深径比在不同的底吹气体流量条件下的试验结果表明:熔池的最佳深径比(深度与半径之比)为0.6到0.8,如果把深径比的范围扩大约0.4到1.2,虽搅拌混合较差,但相差不大,还可认为是合理的。深径比小于0.4或大于1.2,其搅拌混合不好。目前的平炉熔池深宽比很小,垂直顶吹氧对熔池的搅拌作用未能充分发挥,需要强化水平方向的搅拌;钢包的深径比过大,作为精炼炉的钢包,应适当扩大直径、减小熔池深度;顶吹转炉的深径比是合适的,采用顶底复合吹炼时底吹点的布置需与顶吹协调一致,又要尽量满足合理的深径比,对于合理布置方案提出了一个定量的计算方法。
