汕头大学于92年9月至93年6月在该校92级计算机软件专业和电子技术专业的80名学生中进行大学英语强化试点,旨在通过一学年的强化英语教学,完成两学年的教学内容,并基本上达到国家大学英语四级考试的水平。本文以现代教学论的最优化原理为主要理论依据,以该强化试点的实施过程和国家统考结果为实践证明,探讨了大学英语强化教学的可能性和可行性。
