First, the infrared absorption spectrum of gold-bearing quartz is characterized by its comparatively high absorption peak of H,O and light density relationship D1>Da, D2/D1<1, but that of barren quartz is characterized by its comparatively low absorption peak of H,O and light density relationship D11; Secondly, compared with that of barren quartz, the thermol uminescence of gold-bearing quartz is featured by its low therrnol-uminescence intensity, peak value is lower than 150 cps, chief value is lower than 10 000 cps, while the barren quartz is characterized by high thermol-uminescent intensity with peak value of 150 cps and chief value greater than 10 000 cps; And lastly, compared with that of barren quartz, the thermol explosion temperature of gold--bearing quartz is lower,usually 140-180℃, while barren quartz is featured by high thermol explosion temperature, usually 420460C. Al those features above may be served as important prospecting marks for appraising gold-bearing mineralized veins in this district.
