Weconsidered that it was important to examinewhether the accessory cell function which Blymphocytes appears was to be geneticallyrestricted.To answer this question, the fol-lowing experiments were established: the Tcells from C57BL/6 mouse spleen as respond-ing cells(T_1) interacted with B cells obtain-ed from BALB/c mouse spleen as accessorycells (B_2) or vice versa.The results indicat-ed in table 1 demonstrated that accessorycell function of B lymphocytes in T cellproliferation to Con-A stimulation was ge-natically unrestricted.In additior, the effectof B lymphocytes in the production of in-terleukin-2,which was produced by T lym-phocytes after Con-A stimulation, was stu-died.In this experiment, the resting B cells,LPS--activated B cells and macrophageswere added as accessory cells.The resultsshown in table 2 indicated that the produc-tion of interleukin-2 markedly increasedin the presence of B cells.The results alsorevealed that the accessory function of acti-vated B cells was much more effective thanthat of the resting B cells and macrophagesinthe production of interleukin-2. Takentogether these results strongly demonstratedthat B lymphocytes to serve as accessorycells played an important role in T cellproliferative responses to Con-A and in theproduction of interleukin-2.

小鼠脾细胞经两次贴壁除去巨噬细胞,再经两次尼龙毛柱纯化T细胞,尼龙毛粘附的B细胞用抗θ血清加补体去除残余的T细胞后,得到高度纯化的B细胞,在体外用细胞重组实验方法观察B细胞在ConA反应中的作用。结果表明,静止B细胞和细菌脂多糖活化的B细胞均能非常显著地辅佐T细胞对ConA刺激的增殖反应,B细胞这种作用不受组织相容性抗原约束。B细胞还能辅佐T细胞产生IL-2,这证明B细胞具有辅佐细胞功能。
