It is shown that the acid-modified montmorillonite used under the conditions of 20 g/L,pH=6.5-7.5,treatment time=(30-40) min,room temperature,time for depositing=7-8 h is highly capable to remove COD and colour by 69%-70% and 76% from coal gas wastewater.
The test result shows that the coal gas productivity is 1.94 m3/kg, the carbon conversion 96.9%, and the cold gas efficiency up to 78.5%. Besides, corresponding consumption of oxygen, coal and steam is listed.
