In this paper, tests of BA concentrations and factorial experiment ; of shoot multiplication in subculture and on root formation were made. The results obtained are as follows. Good results were also obtained by transplanting the shoots into (1/2)/MS medium without hormons-after 4 days in the (1/2)/MS medium with IBA 1.5mg/ 1 ; (5 )Basic me diu supplemented BA alone greatly stimulated shoot formation , but su ppressed root induction completely; whereas basic medium supplemented IBA alone accelerated root formation, but suppressed shoot induction.The combination of BA and IBA could stimulate the shoots to grow vigorou-sily and the nodes to elongate. The successful induction of shoots and roots from shoot tips and axillary buds and the eventual formation of a large number of plants from them would be of value in peach breeding and cultivation.
