This Paper describes the test and study on the technique of controlling the carbon potential of furnace atmosphere by the ultra-red ray CO_2 method and ultra-red rey CO_2-CH_4 binary method on the shaft type carburizing furnace with methanol and kerosene as drip feed agents.

本文阐述在井式渗碳炉上,以甲醇—煤油作滴注剂,采用红外线CO_2法及红外线CO_2—CH_4二元法控制炉气碳势技术的实验研究。根据研究结果及工业应用情况,比较了两种控制方法的特点。论述了CO_2一元控制法除自动控制炉气中CO_2在一定范围內以外,还要求有熟练的操作技术,注意调节甲醇与煤油的滴量比例,以保证炉气成份CO、H_2、CH_4的稳定性。该方法碳势控制范围以0.7~0.9%C最佳。若在高碳势下渗碳,因CH_4值增加与不稳定,碳势波动较大。而CO_2—CH_4二元控制碳势法,由于控制了炉气中的CO_2与CH_4值,因此比一元控制法更为合理,可控范围较宽,提高了碳势控制精度,是一个很好的控制方法。

The relationship between the amount of inclusions come from mixedslag (Y) and time (X) follows the formula Y=De~(e/x). Some process factors such as: oxidation andeffervescence of steel, composition of reducing slag, desulfurizing efficiency and killed time etc.must be controlled so as to improve and stablize the quality of bearing steel. Utilization of headboxis beneficial to diminishing the amount of inclusions in ingot head.
