Through defining the nominal wave number β on local coordinates and the real wave number βG on global coordinates , the infinite element having different wave numbers in global system can be simulated by using the transient elements and the identical elements with different mid-node coordinates in global system. By changing the normal orientation of the common boundary between finite and infinite elements and the global coordinates of the nodes, the propagation direction of waves can be controlled. Examples shown give satisfactory verifications of the accuracy of the presented element.
