The calculation methods of film-thickness along the mesh line of gear were summarized,and the film-thickness was calculated considering the condition that ε>1,which is ubiquitous in mechanism industry. Film pressure and film shape of the gear transmission were acquired,which provides the basic research for the invalidation analysis of gear transmission and tribological design.
In this paper,based on the setting mathematical model of hourglass worm gear drive by using the theory of gearing meshing and the knowledge of differential geometry,the program of drawing axial sketch of hourglass worm gear tooth meshing line is worked out and the worm gear tooth meshing line are simulated by using the computer graphic technology.
By analyzing the vibration movement of the gear system, the actual center-line equation and that of the theoretic meshing line were derived in their vibration condition,and their movements and the modality of the actual meshing line was analytically verified.
Though the gear form of one screw stem is different from that of the other one, a work element of sealing can be formed, because the line of engagement between them is closed and the line of contact is continuous.
By numerical analyzing conjugation curves and the line of engagement,and exporting their approximate curves based on MATLAB,can conveniently get knowledge of the performance of the engagement of conjugation curves.
The space perpendicular relationship between the gearing line and the straight generating lines of gear tooth in gear shaving is proved with the analytic mathematics,which can help people understand the relation deeply and can lay down a foundation for making further study of the meshing theory in gear shaving.
