It is pointed out that every designer should have strong market sensitivity and good comprehensive professional quality, so as to be able to make his design according to market trends. The paper presents an outlook on jewelry design in China, and points out that jewelry design in China is still weak compared with that in the developed countries, with its industrial structure being not reasonable.
