A system for precision power measurement in 8-mm band (26.5-40.0 GHz) has been developed. It can be used either as a transfer standard for the calibration of terminated-type low power meter, or to regulate the output amplitude of an 8-mm band signal source for output stabilization and provides a low output VSWR less than 1.05 for various precision measurement purposes.The measuring system consists of a 3dB directional coupler with high directivity, a precision power meter connected to the side-arm of the coupler, and a feedback loop to regulate the output amplitude of a signal source. The 3dB directional coupler is designed with wide-wall Tchebycheff multi-hole coupling arrays, and the directivity achieved is 40dB in the frequency range mentioned above. The precision power meter includes a temperature-controlled thermistor mount and a .high-precision self-balancing bridge of four-terminal lines resistor. The feedback loop includes a multipurpose microwave amplitude stabilizer and a PIN modulation attenuator. The temperature drift of the thermistor mount is held within ±1μW/℃·h. The measuring accuracy of the DC substitution power is ±(0.1% + 0.2μW). When a signal source has been regulated, the stability of its output power may achieve a level of ±0.02%/ 30min and the output VSWR will be less than 1.05.The experimental results of the measuring system and the error analysis of this system used as a power transfer standard are also given.

In the precise power source, the digit synthesis technology was used in general for producing the sine-wave and the waveform phaseshift was realized by changing the initial value of the wave counter. But the circuit of this phaseshift method is very complex. In order to simplify the circuit ,this paper provides a novel waveform phaseshift method . The practice proves that the three-phases precise power source based on this method is very accurate and stable (distortion: <0.5%,stability : <0.05%).

精密功率电源中,一般采用数字合成技术产生正弦信号,而波形移相可通过改变其波形计数器的初值实现,然而这种移相方法的硬件电路比较复杂。为此,本文给出了一种新的波形移相方法。实践证明,基于该方法研制的三相精密功率电源具有较高的精度和稳定度(失真度<0.5%,稳定度<0.05%)。

This paper introduces the successful application of digital synthesis technique to three phase precision power signal source.Using hardware digital synthesis method,the signal source generates three phase sinusoidal voltage and current signal.The composition and principle of digital synthesis circuit are introduced in detail.
