In this paper two-segment jibs of tower cranes with irregular guy arrangements and having various cross sectional shapes under the action of spaceforces were investigated, with due consideration to the effect of bending. The internal stresses, deformations and stability of the structure under the dead load, the wind load, the hoisted load and the braking forces were analysed by means of the matrix displacement method.

The application of classical theory concerning elastic stabilityhas already turned out a series of working formulas for the analysis of the local stability of webs in a box girder with a rail runninh along its center line as well as one running partially sideward. This kind of box girder is of interest in gantry cranes, and in many countries, it has become a standardized member in the design of the gantry crane. However, fully sideward rail box girders have come into use more and more recently. So far few investigations have been published on this subject. Evidently, the localization of the wheel pressure acting on the principal web of the girder causes trouble both in mathematical and mechanical analyses. For the principal webs with horizontal ribs, in particular, there is hardly a satifactory working formula available in the literature of specifications. This paper stresses on the theoretical and experimental research into the stability of webs subjected to localized loads. As a result, a number of relevant formulas are developed and reasonably simplified so as to facilitate the analyses of the stabily of the principal webs with hoxizontal ribs in the fully sideward rail box girders. The results obtained from theoretical calculations are found to be in good agreement wieh the expe rimental data. A discussion on the problem concerning the criteria for undesirable buckling is also provided in this paper.

桥式起重机桥架结构采用的中轨及半偏轨箱形梁腹板的稳定性计算,经典弹性稳定理论已提供了成熟的计算公式,这些公式已为许多国家的起重机设计规范采用。但是对近年来渐多采用的偏轨式箱形梁,因主腹板所受的轮压是一个局部载荷,在数学和力学计算方面带来困难,故研究得尚不够充分。尤其是带水平筋的主腹板,至今在各国规范中均禾给出合理的计算公式。本文的重点是从理论上和实验上研究局部轮压作用下腹板的稳定性,推导并简化了有关公式,可用于分析计算偏轨箱形梁主腹板的稳定性。理论计算结果与实验值能较好地吻合。本文还就失稳判据问题进行了讨论。
