According to the character of log response, we use the relativity between log data such as well diameter, gamma-ray, neutron, sound wave, density, natural potential, resistivity, to improve the former characteristic parameter for distinguishing gas formation.
A single pass can provide 144 curves directly, including capture cross section sigma curve, formation ratio curve, far near sonde counting rate curve, total inelastic scattering gamma ray interpreted by software, and neutron, density porosity curve, which are most sensitive to the gas formation.
The application and analysis of 8 wells in Shengli petroliferous province show that it can identify the shaly sand gas formation through casing independently quickly and visually with high interpretation coincidence, which provide reliable technology for seeking gas in cased hole.
To illustrate its application, the method is applied to the data set of the Cotton Valley experiment on the seismic monitoring of hydraulic fractures in a fractured gas reservoir.
Carbon isotopic composition of methane in Ordovician gas reservoir in the Changqing Gasfield can reflect the dominance of Upper Paleozoic coaltype gas despite its high mature degree.
The numerical simulations of detonation propagation through inert gas zone were also performed using the one- dimensional Detonation Lagrangean code with simple energy release model.
Investigations carried out in simplified models of a spiral bearing [6, 7] have shown that the compressibility of a gas layer lowers its bearing capacity.
Approximate analytic solutions are obtained in the injected-gas layer: a constant-density solution and a solution of the boundary-layer type in the local similarity approximation.
In this paper, we introduce themodeling of carbon isotope kinetics of natural gas formation and its applications to the assessment of natural gas maturity, the determination of the gas source, the history of gas accumulation, and the oil-gas ratio.
