Harnessing measures, such as the installation of anti-slide piles, are presented. Theauthor's viewpoints are (verified) by practice, great economic results are achieved. Harnessing measures, such as the installation of anti-slide piles, are presented. Theauthor's viewpoints are (verified) by practice, great economic results are achieved. Yang Quan mining area is located in a (mountanous) area underground mining causes notonly ground subsidence, but also land slide which threaten the security of industrial and civilstructures seriously. Since 1950s,many important industrial installations have been built in themining area,some of them were damaged by the slides leading to a great deal of economicallosses. Based on the investigation, observation and harnessing of slides in the area for many years,the author attempts to describe the producing conditions, developing rules and characters ofthe slide, and to present corresponding prevention and control measures.

Normal work of urban traffic, river shipping and realignment are bisturbed by the landslide at Zhenjiang ancient canal bank. In this paper ennineering environment, landslide shape, bank disaster mechanism and its stability are analized in worse specific city geological environment. It would be useful for the study of slope geological disaster caused by the traffic development and its improvement.

镇江市古运河边岸滑坡干扰了城市交通、航运和河道整治工程的正常运行。本文研究了城市边岸的工程环境、滑坡形态、特有的城市地质环境恶化所诱发的边岸破坏机制及其稳定性,它对我同城市水陆交通发展所导致的斜坡地质灾害及其治理有实用价值。
