To improve the efficiency and reduce the noise of the axial fan,optimization is made for the pneumatic design by discrete composite shape arithmetic. Multi-object optimization question is dealt with by the main object method.
The results of numerical calculation for four wind shear exponents and seven tower heights shows that taking the wind speed at the rotor centre as the initial uniform design wind speed is reasonable,and that wind shear is independent of the aerodynamics design of a wind turbine.
This paper describes the study on aerodynamics design optimization of turbomachinery blading developed by the authors at the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, during the recent few years.
Taken the developing of the above proposed algorithm as a beginning step, our long range research object is the aerodynamics design.
