It also accelerates the decay of high energy statein the dark stage. When the concentration of ethanol in the reaction solutionexceeds 2%,however, an inhibitory action on Mg~(++)--ATPase is manifested. Onthe basis of these phenomena, we deem it reasonable to consider that ethanol actsthrough its effect on the thylakoid membrane of the chloroplast.

(4) It took 4hr to kill staphylococcus albus and 10hr to kill B. ccreus spores with 2% peracetic acid at-40℃. The corrosive effect of peracetic acid was greatly reduced under low temperatures.
