The Authors have observed and studied the healing process of dogs' femoral shaft fractures treated with compression plate. Roentgenogra-phically the fracture gaps were gradually widened and the fracture ends became sclerotic. Histologically the fracture ends became necrotic and absorbed away. The rate of fracture healing was very low. The authors have analysed that the failure of fracture healing was due to unqualified spacifieations of stainless steel plates and excessive compression

In order to study the changes of the dental pulp and the pcriapical tissue after pulp mummification and modified mummification , 150 dental roots specimen of 71 cases and 69 dental roots specimen of 35 cases were observed respectively with microscope . The results revealed that 63.3% roots of mummification and 53.6% roots of modified mummification had no inflammation , and not a single apical foramen was scaled by newly deposited cemcntum . The authors suggst that it would be practical to evaluated the tissue...

The authors suggst that it would be practical to evaluated the tissue healing after operation , by the criteria of mummified pulp tissue and no inflammation in the pulp or pcriapical tissue rather than by that of the cemcntum sealed apical foramen .

作者研究干髓术和变异干髓术后牙髓和尖周组织的变化,对干髓术71例150个牙根和变异干髓术35例69个牙根进行光镜下观察.结果没有炎症变化的牙根,干髓术占63.3%,变异干髓术占53.6%,而无1个牙根的根尖孔由牙骨质沉积,而将其封闭.因此,作者认为以根髓组织已被固定,根髓和尖周组织均无炎症比以牙骨质封闭根尖孔来作为评价它们术后组织愈合的标准更切实际.
