OBJECTIVE:The present investigation was to observe the effects of TIP on the contents of mineral and trace elements of tibia in osteoporosis rats induced by ovariectomized. METHOD:52 female SD rats were allocated into 5 groups: SHAM, OVX, CEE3, TIP 100 and TIP 20. Except rats in SHAM group which were made sham operation, the other rats were bilaterally ovariectomized. 7 days after operation, the rats were orally administrated 0.5% CMC Na(SHAM and OVX), nilestrol(CEE3) 1.0 mg×kg 1 ×wk 1 , TIP 100 mg×kg 1 ×d 1 (TIP 100) and TIP 20 mg×kg 1 ×d 1 (TIP 20) separately for 7 months. The contents of calcium and phosphate in tibias were determined by chemical analysis and the trace elements were detected by atom absorption spectrophotometer. RESULTS:The apparent density and ash density of tibia in OVX rats were reduced by 5.8% and 11.4% than those in SHAM. Ca, P, Fe, Zn and Mg were also significantly decreased. The apparent density and ash density of tibia in TIP 100 group were increased by 7.5% and 9.6% than OVX group, while by 7.1% and 4.6% in TIP 20 group. Ca and P contents were increased by 9.8% and 10.1% in TIP 100, while by 6.1% and 6.2% in TIP 20. No markedly change was observed in Ca/P ratios. The contents of Zn, Fe, Mg, Mn and Mu were slightly raised. Moreover Cu and Cr were even increased by 75% and 300% approximately.CONCLUSION:TIP can inhibit loss of mineral and trace elements in bone induced by estrogen deficiency. The estrogen like action of TIP may pay a main role in this protection.

(3) The wet density, dry density, ash density and calcium density of femur in SLQG 3g/kg group were increased by 4.5%,3.6%,6.1% and 7.8%, while in SLQG 1.5g/kg group by 2.5%,2.7%,4.4% and 3.8%. (4) The serum content of calcium, phosphorus and AKP activity in treated groups were no significantly different to that in model group. CONCLUSION SLQG can prevent secondary osteoporosis induced by DXM in rats.

Objective To evaluate the clinical results of interporous tricalcium phosphate (TCP) as a bone graft substitute in repair of bone defects. Methods Thirty-two patients were treated with a bone graft substitute,TCP for bone defects caused by trauma or removal of benign bone neoplasms. Twenty-four received a graft of pure TCP,and the others were grafted with a mixture of TCP and autogenous marrow(6 patients) ,or a mixture of TCP and autogenous bone graft obtained from the iliac crest (2 patients). Clinical and roentgenographic assessments were performed consecutively at follow-up periods of 12 to 18 months. Results No adverse reactions to the graft materials were found in all patients. The interface between normal bone and grafted defect became vague in advance of new bone formation by 3 months roentgenographically. Obliteration of the interface was evident and the TCP lost the granular radiographic appearance at 3 to 6 months. Conclusions Interporous TCP is a safe,effective bone graft substitute for the filling of defects associated with trauma or removal of benign bone neoplasms.

目的:评估多孔磷酸三钙修复骨缺损的临床效果。方法:对32例骨缺损患者应用新型的具有内连接结构的多孔磷酸三钙进行手术植入治疗,其中24例单纯用多孔磷酸三钙植入,6例取自体红骨髓与多孔磷酸三钙混合后植入,2例取自体髂骨与多孔磷酸三钙混合后植入,进行连续12~18个月的临床现察。结果:所有患者无不良的局部和全身反应。X线片显示,术后1.5~3个月磷酸三钙植入区与缺损周围的骨组织之间界限模糊,有新生骨形成;术后6个月磷酸三钙植入区内明显有新骨长入,磷酸三钙与骨组织融为一体,骨缺损已基本修复。3~6个月磷酸三钙的密度逐渐减低。结论:多孔磷酸三钙具有良好的生物相容性和骨传导作用,其新型的内连接结构既可以保持一定的刚度和强度,又便于骨组织长入;其理想的生物降解效应更有利于骨组织的改建和塑型。
