In this paper, the l1 system identification of linear, shiftinvariant causal system is studied. First, a algorithm based on algebra approach is presented and its characters are analysed. Second, the worst-case identification error associated with the algorithm is evaluated and the convergence of the algorithm is proved.Finally, the form of the algorithm in several special case is discussed. The results are robust control oriented.
