The morphogenesis and the aging changes of the cartilage in the aortic fibrous ring were investigated histologically and histochemically with various staining methods.2. The cartilage is derived postnatally from the connective tissue of the aortic fibrous ring of the hearts. The processes of hypertrophy, growth, differentiation and atrophy of the cartilage cells are more or less similar to those of the hyaline cartilage.3. The cartilage matrix appears metachromatic and basophilic at 15 days after birth. The amount of the matrix increases with age, while the staining intensity becomes stronger. From 12 months old and onwards the basophilia and metachromasia of the matrix diminish gradually in intensity. These changes may be related to the decrease in quantity or depolymorization of the chondroitin sulfuric acid in the matrix. The matrix begins to show a weakly PAS positive reaction at one month of age. This PAS positive reaction increases gradually in intensity up to the 6 months of age and then remains stable for the rest of the life span of the animal. This indicates that besides chondroitin sulfuric acid, there may be other constituents present in the matrix which are responsible for the PAS positive reaction.4. Calcium deposition occurs in the cartilage matrix in the 6-month-old specimens. The calcium deposit increases with age and almost fills up the matrix in the 24-month-old ones. The alkaline phosphatase activity is very low at the site of calcification, which may not be essential to the process of calcification.

An improved method for the isolation and purification of chondroitin sulfate A (ChS-A) and chondroitin sulfate G (GhS-C) from bovine trachea was described. An improved method for the isolation and purification of chondroitin sulfate A (ChS-A) and chondroitin sulfate G (GhS-C) from bovine trachea was described. In order to remove combined proteihs and minimize the degradation of the mucopolysac-charides, two enzymes, trypsin and papain, were used consecutively. Subsequently, the residual proteins were removed by shaking with organic solvents, treating with adsorbent and chromatographing with ion-exchange resin. The mucopolysaccharides were further purified by precipitation with cetylpyridinium chloride and then fractionation with sodium chloride solution of different concentrations. Finally, the ChS-A and GhS-G were separated by ethanol precipitation in the presence of calcium acetate. The products GhS-A and GhS-G are very pure as proved by chemical and physicochemical analyses.

本文报道了从牛气管中分离及提纯硫酸软骨素A(ChS-A)及硫酸软骨素C(ChS-C)的方法。为了除去与硫酸软骨素结合的蛋白质并尽量减少硫酸软骨素的降解,我们采用了两种蛋白质水解酶,即胰蛋白酶及木瓜蛋白酶,使大部分的蛋白质分解。然后再采用有机溶剂沉淀法,活化浮石土吸附法以及离子交换树脂等,以去除少量的残余蛋白。加入氯化十六烷吡啶使ChS-A及ChS-C沉淀,并利用此沉淀在不同浓度的氯化钠溶液中溶解度不同的这一特性以去除可能与ChS-A及ChS-C同时存在的其它酸性粘多糖。最后用乙醇分段沉淀法将ChS-A及ChS-C分开。用本法所提制出的ChS-A及ChS-C经化学及物理化学分析证明纯度很高。

The HDL-C in Group Ⅱ was significantly lower(45±10.3mg/dl, p<0.01). The changes of PHLA, HDL-C, LDL-C, TC and TG in normal subjects after an intravenous injection of heparin (50mg)were also observed for 6 hours. In addition, the patients in Group Ⅱ were subdivided into 4 subgroups according to the differents treatments, namely: short course of hypodermic heparin, heparin electrovection, oral chondroitin sulfate and oral placebo. It was found that except the placebo all the three treatments could cause a decrease of TG, while the PHLA and other plasma lipids were not significantly altered.

测定了男性40岁以上年龄组正常人(19例),高甘油三脂(TG)血症病人(88例)和业余长跑运动员(22例)的血浆肝素的脂解活性(PHLA)、高密度脂蛋白—胆固醇(HDL-C)。低密度脂蛋白—胆固醇(LDL-C)、总胆固醇(TC)和TG。正常组PHLA为0.38±0.05μmFFA/mL/min,HDL-C为54±7.7mg/dL;高TG血症组PHLA和HDL-C分别比正常组低(0.34±0.06μmFFA/ml/min,P<0.05;45±10.3mg/dL,P<0.01);长跑组的PHLA和HDL-C分别比正常人高(0.41±0.04μmFFA/minLP<0.05:61±10.4mg/dL,P<0.01)。还观察了健康人静脉注射50mg肝素后6小时内血PHLA、TG、TC、HDL-C和LDL-C的动态变化。对四组高TG血症病人分别采用短程肝素皮下注射,肝素离子导入,口服硫酸软骨素和口服安慰剂进行治疗后发现三种治疗均能降低TG,但PHLA和其它血脂没有明显改变。
