Being restricted by production technology, the transversal brace between columns of the building was hard to be set, and the transversal stiffness of the structure against side displacement would be low. In order to meet requirements of structural design specification, foundation treatment was conducted by means of replacement of the filling materials in the foundation, rigid connection of the transversal beams with columes was adopted to make transversal bents become rigid frames. More than two years of operation has proved that the structure works normally. The foundation treatment, foundation design, structural design etc. of the ice production building are briefly presented.
