To counter this situation, researches on 3D AVO data processing were carried out for data from YA area, one of the major gas producing areas in Shengli Oilfield.
According to the reservoiring characteristics of the large gas fields in China, 5 major gas migration and accumulation modes are summarized, including multi-stage gas charging in compressional foreland basin, slow gas accumulation in underpressured craton plateform, long-term gas charging in compressional craton, late gas charging in transtensional faulted depression, and highly effective charging of biogas in salt-rich basin.
The close relationship between the gas pools in China and tectonic evolution since Neogene can be summarized as follows:(1)In west China,the foreland basins,formed during this period,constitute one of the main gas accumulation provinces in China,and provide favorable conditions for the formation of numerous gas fields.
