This review on chemical phase analyses for nikel and cobalt covers the period of 1973—1984 both at home and abroad. The use of phase analyses for Ni and Co abroad decreased due to the advances of physical measurement technigues. but not at home. This review covered six aspects: sulfates-, oxides-, sulfides-, silicates-, metallic-phase analysis and valance analysis. The fundamentals and the conditions of the selective extraction were involved. 59 references are presented.
