Percutaneous puncture of vas deferens for contraception is a simple,safe and reliable non-operative method,which is performed by direct puncture ofvas through the skin of scrotum and a liquid drug named“Carbolic acid-504mixture”is injected,in order to obliterate its lumen permanently.The 504is prompt coagulant for medical use.Since May 1972,this method has beenused clinically for sterility in about 50,000 cases with satisfactory results.Under local anesthesia,the vas deferens is fixed with the clamp(a specialclamp called vas deferens fixing clamp).A No.8 gauge sharp needle is inser-ted perpendicularly into the lumen of vas through its anterior wall and thenit is replaced by a No.6 gauge blunt needle through the punctured hole.then0.02 ml.of carbolic acid-504 mixture may be injected into the vas,and aftera while(about 20 second),the drug will be coagulated,and the needle can bewithdrawn out.Recently,we have examined 918 cases,all of them had been injected 7years ago.There are 494 cases receiving sen analysis and 469 cases showing azoospermia.The rate of spermatozoa disappearance is 94.94%,and only3 cases have had mild complications,the incidence is 0.33%.

In this paper, tensile and pull-out reinforced concrete bond specimens are studied by the finite element mathod. The analysis is solely based on the basic mechanical properties of concrete and reinforcing bar, and other additional assumptions, such as distribution of cracks, bond stress-slip relationship, etc., are not necessary. The cracked concrete is considered as an orthotropic body, in which the tangent modulus along the diretion of cracks is taken as its initial value E. The shear modulus G' on the cracked...

In this paper, tensile and pull-out reinforced concrete bond specimens are studied by the finite element mathod. The analysis is solely based on the basic mechanical properties of concrete and reinforcing bar, and other additional assumptions, such as distribution of cracks, bond stress-slip relationship, etc., are not necessary. The cracked concrete is considered as an orthotropic body, in which the tangent modulus along the diretion of cracks is taken as its initial value E. The shear modulus G' on the cracked surface can be determined by a method described in this paper. The tangent modultts in the direction normal to the cracks is then obtained from E and G'. In the analysis, although it is assumed that the concrete is connected directly with the adjacent steel, the slip between both materials can be found approximately from the results of the finite element analysis. Three typical bond specimens are analyzed. The calculated results for the total elongation and the strain distribution of the embedded reinforeing bar, the strains and the distribution of the internal cracks in concrete as well as the bond stress-slip relationship are essentially in good agreement with the experimental data published in foreign literatures.

20 adult healthy rats were used for microelectropheretic delivery of horseradish peroxidase (HRP). The diameter of the tip of the glass electrode was around 20~50μ.
