The Top 10 News Stories of 2006 in Basic Research in China, sponsored by Basic Research Management Center of Ministry of Science and Technology, and Association Sciences Department of China Association For Science and Technology, are announced in Beijing on February 15, 2007. Ten representatives of basic research results with great originality and newsworthy are selected.
METHODS: The experiment was conducted at the experiment department of Laboratory Animal Center, the Fourth Military Medical University from September 2005 and January 2006. ①Twelve from the 18 SPF male Wistar rats were selected for adherence separation, which were divided into 4 groups based on different serum and nutritive medium: import serum+DMEM group, import serum+F12-DMEM group, domestic serum+DMEM group, domestic serum+F12-DMEM group with 3 rats in each group.
Methods: 30 cases with nasal defect have been treated in our department since 1995. The forehead central skin flap was used for 3 cases, nasolabial tissue flap was used for 17 cases(19 sides) and the auricular composite tissue flap was used for 10 cases(11 sides).

Complete multipartite decompositions of complete graphs and complete n-partite graphs
In this paper, a new concept of an optimal complete multipartite decomposition of type 1 (type 2) of a complete n-partite graph Qn is proposed and another new concept of a normal complete multipartite decomposition of Kn is introduced.
Classification of complete 5-partite graphs and chromaticity of 5-partite graphs with 5n vertices
For a complete 5-partite graph G with 5n vertices, define ?(G)=(α(G,6) - 2n-1 - 2n-1+5)/2n-2, where α(G, 6) denotes the number of 6-independent partitions of G.
By using these results the chromaticity of 5-partite graphs of the form G - S with ?(G)=0, 1, 2, 5/2, 7/2, 4, 17/4 is investigated, where S is a set of edges of G.
