The transmission and evolution procedure of optical pulse in the fiber is analyzed and the conclusion is got that positive dispersion fiber can compensate red shift chirp so the pulse is transform limited. This method which can decrease inserted loss greatly is good substitution +of F P filter.

The nonlinear propagation and evolution procedures of chirped polses in single mode linear dispersion fibers are considered both analytically and numerically.The results show that in the normal group velocity dispersion of single mode linear dispersion fibers,the red shift chirp which is accompanied with semi conductor laser can be removed by the blue shift chirp produced during the course of the propagation.
