A theoretical model was built for the determination of the critical volume content of reinforcement phases in multiphase composite ceramic materials. An advanced Al 2O 3/SiC/ (W,Ti)C multiphase composite ceramic material was then fabricated with hot pressing technology. The material has good mechanical properties among which the flexural strength is 753 MPa, the fracture toughness is 5.32 (MPa·m 1/2 ) and the hardness is 19.07 GPa . Results indicate that only under the conditions of suitable hot pressing parameters and material compositions, better microstructures and mechanical properties of the materials can be achieved. The equivalent crack in the material is found 13.9 μm , while the fracture energy of the material is 84%, higher than that of the pure alumina ceramic. The dominant toughening mechanism for the ceramic material is attributed to crack deflection. In addition, the existing twins and the disloca_tions may contribute partly to the toughening and strengthening of the Al 2O 3/SiC/(W,Ti)C multiphase composite ceramic material.

In order to improve the backfill slurry quality and guide the design of slurry pipeline transportation, the relationship between the size distribution feature parameters ∑Δpi/di and the limit solid volume fraction was demonstrated. It is concluded that the size distribution is optimal while the solid volume fraction of the mixed slurry with thick and thin aggregates is maximal. An equation group was proposed to calculate the limit solid volume fraction.

为提高填充料浆质量及指导料浆管输设计,论证了级配特征参数∑Δp/d与极限体积分数G_(vm)的相关性,得出了粗、细两种充填物料混合后体积分数达到最大值时的级配最佳的结论,并给出了求解极限体积分数的方程组。
