    Instead of cam driving machanism the multilinkage driving mechanisms are widely used at the present day. They also find wide application in textile machinery, particularly in warp knitting machines.In this paper some linkage synthetic methods applied to the warp knitting machines are discussed. They include the synthetic method of linkage driving mechanism with either symmetrical characteristic curves or unsymmetrical characteristic curves. By way of analogizing, we may apply these methods to the design of other similar machines. It is hoped that the paper may serve as a practical reference for engineers, designers and research workers and also for students in studying linkage and other similar mechanisms.
